Two Citation Posters and a Trainee Award at SBSM 2026

Garrett Byron and Clayton Hilmert with Garrett's citation poster on medical mistrust at SBSM 2026

The lab had a big week at the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine Annual Meeting in Chicago, where both of our graduate students presented citation posters!

Erin Twohy presented findings from her master’s thesis on how virtual social support shapes psychophysiological responses to a stressful virtual audience. Garrett Byron presented his dissertation work on medical mistrust, stress, and health, and received the society’s LGBT Health Scholar Trainee Award. Congratulations Erin and Garrett!
