On April 5, our lab teamed up with Dr. Kat Duggan’s lab once again for NDSU’s Avenues of Scientific Discovery. Our session, “The Psychophysiology of Stress: How the Brain and Body Communicate to Prepare Us for Challenges,” introduced young scientists to what stress is, how to recognize it in ourselves, and how researchers measure the body’s response, with plenty of hands-on blood pressure demonstrations. Thanks to graduate students Garrett Byron, Clarice Shanks, Michael Price, and Odalis Garcia, and to everyone who helped make it a great day!
